Early in the first period of the Pittsburgh Penguins game against the St. Louis Blues, a fan fell from the upper deck in Section 234. Pittsburgh Hockey Now spoke with witnesses in person. The witnesses report that the fan initially landed in the luxury box seats directly below but continued falling to the lower concourse, Section 101. The fan contacted another fan during the fall. The second fan also suffered injuries. Per public sources, one of the fans was transported to Mercy Hospital in critical condition. Fans tweeted photos of the glass barrier at the end of the aisle in section 234, which was shattered.
